Faber Jamerson, PGA
Faber is originally from Appomattox, VA and grew up at Falling River Country Club. He currently lives in Appomattox with his wife Phillips and has three children and a step son which he calls his own. He graduated from Appomattox County High School in 1995 and then received a BS Degree from James Madison University in 2000.
Faber’s love for the game led him to pursue a career in golf in 2005 after aspirations of playing the PGA tour never materialized. During his career Faber won many Middle Atlantic PGA events and also three Virginia State Open Championships. He also represented the United States on the victorious 2011 PGA Cup Team.
Faber became a PGA Member Class A member in 2010.Since he has served on several PGA committees and continues his PGA Education annually.
Chip Bass, Superintendent
Chip is originally from Appomattox and grew up playing golf at Falling River Country Club. His love for the game led him to pursue a career in the golf business. After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2001 with a Turf Management degree, he began his professional career as the Assistant Superintendent at London Downs GC in Forest Virginia. Over the years, Chip honed his skills at Poplar Grove Golf Club and New Vision Golf. He landed back home at Falling River CC in 2010 and started to renovate the golf course.
Chip is a 17 year member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, received Class A status in 2012, and sits on the board of his local chapter. (VTA) He loves to continue his education and in 2017, he was awarded a Melrose Leadership Academy scholarship.
In his spare time, Chip enjoys playing golf, fishing, and traveling. He and his wife Lindsay reside in Lynchburg, VA.
